Simply a good product or service is not enough when starting online business. You have to use the Internet in an effective and search engine optimized way and create a userfriendly template website. We use WordPress a lot and besides that Google loves it, it is really easy to use (not a lot of html whatsoever). If you are starting online business but don’t want to acquire any skills in web design, graphic design, programming etc., just use some standard free templates or you can outsource it.
In the SEOPress Formula course which I bought in the beginning of my ‘WordPress career’, I followed all the steps of the videos in SEOPress Formula and adapted the plugins recommended and it is was done really easy. If you are keen on starting online business I strongly advice you to follow one or two online marketing courses, such as SEOPress Formula, which give in-depth tips which really make the difference.
Remember that your website should contain the homepage to inform the visitors what it is about and include a contact page, preferably with phone number which they won’t use, but gives trust as well. But starting online business, you should keep in mind that you must keep doing constant updates (keep it fresh) on your site and changes, also adding some features, products and so on. Once, you have created a good-content professional website, you can proceed to the next step.
STEP 4 Search Engine Submission, Google Analytics & Pinging
When starting online business, it is very crucial first to submit your website to search engines. In this way, you have your site listed with the various search engines and as a result search engines know that your site exists and to get indexed.
What you should do is to write a title, description of your whole site, around 25 words, including few keywords (or called tags, see above for criteria) under which you site might be found. Then add keywords which describe your site in a best possible way but be sure they are in the text on your homepage/subpages as well.

About pinging: if you go to the free service of pingler, they can explain why it is important to ping your (sub)pages every 3 days.
STEP 5 Marketing Activities: Getting Traffic from Free or paid Advertising And Affiliate Program
